Call (515) 965-1653We have been taking our family to Hintz Family Dentistry for several years and have always had a great experience! The staff is friendly and efficient, and they are so patient with our children when they get nervous or scared about cleanings or fillings.
Every person at this office is so nice and willing to meet you where you are at. They are thorough and gentle at the same time. Very thankful I found these guys every time that I bring my son in or come for my own check-ups and maintenance!
Very professional and friendly. Office & exam rooms were extremely clean and up to date. Every staff member explained to me what they were going to do before they did it, in a pleasant and welcoming manner. I would highly recommend!

Brush every morning and night, and floss once a day. Brushing and flossing control the plaque and bacteria that cause dental disease. Flossing matters because a toothbrush can't reach between teeth or under the gum line, where decay and gum disease often start.
Periodontal disease is an infection of the gums and bone that hold your teeth in place. It starts as gingivitis. Left untreated, gums pull away from the teeth and form infected pockets, and the bone and tissue that support the teeth break down. Teeth can eventually loosen and need to be removed.
